Title: Sr PMO Analyst

Location: Chantilly, VA

Compensation: $95-$110k (flexible based on experience)

 

General

Assist client’s IT PMO (Program Management Office) as a senior staff for project management, program management, and project portfolio management (PPM) activities, including IT Division status reporting, deploying project lifecycle processes, establishing performance metrics collection/tracking capabilities, administering PPM tools, preparing CIO Office briefings, financial reporting, and overall support of PMO initiatives and activities.

Essential Duties

·Maintain project portfolio management (PPM) capabilities using SharePoint, MS Project, CA Clarity and Service Desk

·Maintain and execute project lifecycle methodology, processes, standards, and templates

·Create and maintain project schedules in CA Clarity and MS Project Server, tracking deliverable and milestones

·Support incident, request, and problem management processes

·Log and maintain actions/risks/decisions/issues/scope control items to support programs and projects

·Assist in budget reporting and financial metrics collection/reporting

·Assist in status reporting and performance dashboard maintenance

·Assist in developing executive level briefings and status reports

 

Requirements

·Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MIS, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree preferred

·Minimum 6 years of experience as PMO Analyst, Project Control, Project Scheduler or Project Coordinator; Overall minimum 9 years of experience in IT industry

·Expertise with MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially Excel and pivot tables

·Experience using SQL querying language to extract information from data repositories

·Experience of MS Project based project management reporting

·Experience of SharePoint based project team collaboration

·Minimum of 2 years using and configuring CA Clarity and Service Desk experience required

·Strong analytical aptitude and good business communication skills

·Any PMI Certification related to project management desired

·ITIL Foundation certification is a plus

Education/ Experience:

Hiring A Senior Systems Analyst

Global Computer Staffing LLC and one of its Federal Client is looking for five Senior System Analysts to join our team at the NIH located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Scope of the Project:

The scope of this project is to provide Information Technology (IT) Services and Support for a variety of projects at the National Institutes of Health. 

 

Daily Duties

•        Analyzes and develops computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business, and records management functions.

•        Develops plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion.

•        Analyzes user interfaces; maintains hardware and software performance tuning; analyzes workload and computer usage; maintains interfaces with outside systems; analyzes downtimes; and analyzes proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS.

•        Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed.

•        Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications from

•        which the Senior IT Specialist or other staff can prepare detailed flow charts, programs,

•        and tests.

•        Coordinates closely with other developers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.

Skill requirements

•        A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in performing computer programming and systems analysis in broad-based Information Technology including system level analysis, design, development, and implementation on prevailing computer hardware and programming languages.

•        At least three (3) of the seven (7) years must reflect current technologies and have occurred within the last five (5) calendar years.

•        Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) additional years of specialized IT or applications subject matter knowledge and experience beyond the seven (7) years may be substituted for a degree.
