A: My blog is Mommy Week.
GPC: What’s your blog all about (i.e. genre, niche, etc.)?
A: Mommy Week is a parenting site featuring family fun, recipes, travel info, healthy living, DIY, and women’s lifestyle articles.
GPC: What inspired your blog name?

GPC: When did you start blogging?
A: July 5, 2013.
GPC: Why did you start blogging?
A: In the past several friends and family members have requested my recipes and parenting advice. I began blogging as a place to share what I love and to inspire other women.
GPC: Is blogging your full-time job or do you work elsewhere full-time or part-time?
A: Blogging is my full time job, but it shares a space with my occupation as a wife and mother which comes first.
GPC: How do you balance the demands of blogging with your everyday life?
A: I don’t think there is a balance! I try to stay organized by keeping a planner and a calendar. Life always has a little chaos factor to it, but it all comes together.
GPC: What do you like about blogging?
A: I love creating fun content for my readers to enjoy. I never leave home without my camera, and I chronicle most of our life through pictures. I like that my kids will be able to go back to Mommy Week and say they remember when they had a specific experience.
GPC: What would you consider your biggest accomplishment to date as it pertains to your blog?
A: My biggest accomplishment to date as pertains to my blog is being selected to speak at Blogalicious Conference in San Antonio, TX next month.
GPC: What do you consider the biggest challenge you face blogging in your genre/niche?
A: The biggest challenge I face blogging is having time to do everything. There are only 24 hours in a day, and it’s not always enough time to get everything done. Some things have to be placed on the back burner.
GPC: What has been your most exciting event you have participated in or attended as a blogger?
A: I don’t have a specific event that has been the most exciting, but the most fun I’ve had was on a press trip this summer to South Walton, FL. It was a great experience!
GPC: What tips or tricks do you use to encourage engagement from your readers on your blog?
A: At the end of every post I always include a call to action. I also share “Pin Worthy” photos in every blog post.
GPC: What advice do you have for a newbie getting started with blogging?
A: Stay consistent with writing and sharing your best content. Lay the groundwork for great things to come in the future.
