Detailed Description:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading and integrating all Strategic Information Technology Projects or Programs involving enterprise, departmental or cross-functional teams, providing a single point of contact. The individual will independently develop and execute large projects or programs to include timeline, scope, budget and resources required. Tracks and mitigates Risk and Quality issues. Provides timely and accurate reports on open, pending and completed projects and programs within Strategic Information Technology Portfolio Management Office. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation and helps define scope, budget, and objectives. Serve as the Project or Program Manager between the business, Information Systems and the vendor. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, budgets and status reports. Manages multiple projects, and project managers, that may roll up into the overall Program or Strategy.
This responsibility includes assembling, tracking and distributing key information. The Senior IT Project Manager will bring value by guiding teams, challenging plans and results, and identifying issues and gaps across all clinical projects.
Qualifications:
· 5 to 10 years progressive experience in a hospital / health system setting.
· Strong background in project and project management, strategic development and operational analysis.
· Must have track record of leading successful large projects.
· Demonstrated ability to design, implement and direct a project that elicits desired outcomes on an organizational level.
· Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale change projects with measurable return on investment.
· Proven ability to handle multiple, changing priorities.
· Excellent oral, written & interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to work with a large, diverse team.
· Effective time management and organizational skills to identify, prioritize and reach goals and objectives faster and easier, cope with multiple demands in a timely manner, and overcome changing priorities.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
· Understanding of project management principals
· Knowledge of organizational change management approaches and tools.
· Trained in MS-Project
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
