GPC: Please introduce yourself to our readers (i.e. your name, occupation, hobbies, etc.).

NB: My name is Nicole Brewer and I’m an English teacher currently located in Oman. I’ve been an expat for several years teaching abroad and have recently relocated to Oman after studying abroad for my MA studies in International Humanitarian action in Germany for a year and doing research for 3 months in Cape Town, South Africa.

GPC: What is the name of your blog(s)? I Luv 2 Globe Trot

NB: What’s your blog all about (i.e. genre, niche, etc.)? Travel

GPC: What inspired your blog name?

NB: My love to travel around the globe.

GPC: When did you start blogging?

NB: Just over 2 years ago.

GPC: Why did you start blogging?

NB: To grow my travel brand and following.

GPC: Is blogging your full-time job or do you work elsewhere full-time or part-time?

NB: Part time blogger, full time Teacher and graduate student.

GPC: How do you balance the demands of blogging with your everyday life?

NB: It’s not easy. I try to dedicate time to blogging once I have the urge, or an interesting travel story to tell.

GPC: What do you like about blogging?

NB: Having a one on one connection and conversation with my followers.

GPC: What would you consider your biggest accomplishment to date as it pertains to your blog?

NB: I’m very proud of some of the accolades have received as a travel blogger/travel writer such as being featured as one of Monday’s Madame’s by Madame Noire for what have been doing with I Luv 2 Globe Trot.

GPC: What do you consider the biggest challenge you face blogging in your genre/niche?

NB: There is a lot of competition when it comes to travel blogs.

GPC: What has been your most exciting event you have participated in or attended as a blogger?

NB: I attended the TBEX travel bloggers conference in Dublin, Ireland a year ago while I was studying in Germany and made so many great connections with other travel bloggers and brands such as HostelWorld.com whom I’ve contributed for in the past.

GPC: What tips or tricks do you use to encourage engagement from your readers on your blog?

NB: Asking questions at the end of blog post.

GPC: What advice do you have for a newbie getting started with blogging?

NB: I would advise them to reach out to blogger networks on social media, don’t be afraid to ask for tips and help as there are communities that are willing to assist.

GPC: What do you think is the biggest misconception about blogging?

NB: That it’s easy and not time consuming!

GPC: Who are some of (your) blogger inspirations?

NB: Oneika the Traveler is one of the travel bloggers that I’ve followed and admired, as well as Nicole is the New Black who is based in Germany.
