Duration: 10+ months (contract to hire)
Job Description:
· Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
· Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
· May require a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Position Requirements:
This is a contract-to-hire position to work with a very active application administration team that supports the Oracle Customer Care and Billing, Meter Data Management and Oracle Business Intelligence applications, among others at client. This is NOT a server administrator job. The candidate would support the platforms for specific applications. Some overtime is required.
Technical:
· Must have at least a year of application administration preferably with enterprise level applications. Oracle Applications is a plus.
· Must have experience with UNIX command level language.
· Must have some experience with SQL and SQL developer.
· Knowledge of Oracle Customer Care and Billing or Meter Data Manage Applications is a plus.
· Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus.
